Purpose of Your Job Position:

Lakeside Senior Care is a Faith based non-profit care community with a nursing home and an attached assisted/independent living called Grace Estates by Lakeside. Lakeside is looking for an administrator to manage this community. The facilities are owned by 7 local churches. Lakeside is located in a town of 3,600 across the road from a golf course and a lake. Lakeside is also located near the community college with a successful nursing program and the local hospital.

The successful candidate will be passionate about providing service and care for residents.

 

Responsibilities

• Managing day to day operations.

• Hire, train, motivate and retain staff.

• Provide a positive work environment

• Provide fiscal leadership by adhering to approved budgets created by administrator.

• Report to a volunteer board of directors monthly.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.

• Forward thinking and innovative in leading a foundation fundraising.

• Willing to update the member churches in person.

• Communicate and update resident family members on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Iowa nursing home administrators license.

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or related field.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a nursing home environment.

• Certified in CPR or willing to achieve certification.

• Willing to live or travel to Emmetsburg daily.

• Experience working in a non-profit organization preferred.
